The El Camino is a pleasure to drive, reliable, and has plenty of torque and power when you need it. The original color was Capri Cream with a gold interior. Very fragile, it scratches easily and comes off. The paint is a Hot Rod Black without clear coat. Rust free, except for some muffler clamps and trailer electrical cover door from 1967. Most parts that I replaced - I kept the originals - and will go with the car. I have the repair and maintenance records from the beginning to now. I have the original Protecto Plate and Owners Manual. Sold and stayed with the 1st Owner in San Jose CA. Rear Axle - 10 Bolt 3.08 (not positraction). Transmission - Turbo Hydra-Matic / 3 speed automatic. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.Engine - 396ci / 325HP / 元5 / Factory Installed.

#1968 EL CAMINO SS 396 VALUE FREE#
Where are you going to find a California rust free real SS 396 with these features for this price? I'll tell you where, right here and nowhere else! I drove this home, it ran and performed real well. The lower quarters and inner rockers are spotless, the drain holes are mint. Every factory spot weld and seam are clean. In my opinion this has the driest, cleanest metal you'll see. The dual exhaust system has a crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. All new disc brake components in front, the e-brake cables are hooked up. The Turbo 400 automatic also looks clean. Looking up at the motor it's spotless, you can see fresh freeze plugs, fuel pump and starter. It has the F-41 suspension which includes sway bars and boxed control arms. The front end looks like it has been completely rebuilt including tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings, shocks etc. UNDERSIDE: It is exceptionally clean underneath this car. The bottom of the tailgate is dry with no rust. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed has no rust, only a few minor little dents. The metal is smooth and painted satin black. Everything looks proper- squirters are hooked up, new horns, new hood insulation, has proper shroud, cowl vent screens etc. It has power brakes and correct power steering with remote reservoir.
